During the MCEIA Conference in November an official ILceia meeting was held where the importance of
increasing ILceia membership was discussed. I think everyone was in agreement that increased membership
of both employers and colleges / universities in Illinois, will strengthen partnerships and therefore increase
opportunities for students. As President of ILceia, I am excited about the enthusiasm of the group attending
the meeting….bring some of that enthusiasm with you and join us in our annual planning session!
Another exciting item of business for ILceia is next year’s MCEIA Conference and the part ILceia can play in gearing up for an exciting conference next year!
The annual ILceia spring drive-in planning meeting was on December 12, 2005 at Illinois State University. In
addition to the plans/topics/speakers for the ILceia Spring Drive-in conference to be held at Waubonsee
College on March 17, 2006, we asked for your input on ways we might increase membership, and assistance
with next years’ MCEIA Conference in Chicago (November 2006).
